Behind our journey to build USM.World (native token: $RACA) into a metaverse for the community is a team of world-class personalities, scientists, and Olympic champions. Everyone has a single united mission to build USM to be a metaverse for the community, by the community. Sébastian Buemi is our resident Formula-E champion driver in this mission with USM.World.

And, we are pleased to announce that our ambassador is one of the great champions of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship Hypercar drivers World Champions. The award ceremony that consecrated Buemi as one of the great champions was celebrated in fine fashion last night on the beach of the Sofitel Bahrain Zallaq Thalassa, just moments away from the Bahrain International Circuit, location for the final race of the 2022 FIA World Endurance Championship .

Sebastien Buemi celebrated a fourth consecutive Team’s World Championship title with Toyota Gazoo Racing on November 13 in the Bahrain 8 Hours season finale. Racing alongside former Formula E driver Brendon Hartley and their Toyota teammate Ryo Hirakawa, all three were crowned the 2022 Hypercar champions as their number 8 Toyota GR010 HYBRID finished second behind the race-winning number 7 car of Jose Maria Lopez, Mike Conway and Kamui Kobayashi.

In addiction, Sébastien Buemi has been admitted to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Hall of Fame in recognition of his four victories (in 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2022). Pierre Fillon, President of the Automobile Club de l’Ouest, presented Sébastien Buemi with the jacket that is traditionally awarded to members of the Hall of Fame.

“I’m really honoured to be admitted to the 24 Hours of Le Mans Hall of Fame,” the driver said. “It’s still hard to believe that I’ve won this race four times now, because a few years ago it just didn’t seem possible. But we’ve worked hard and we managed it, so huge thanks to Toyota and my teammates. I don’t think I can beat Tom Kristensen’s record nine wins! We all know how difficult it is to win this race.”

Buemi has clearly got his sights set on the 24 Hours of Le Mans centenary race (10–11 June 2023) when Toyota will face Ferrari, Porsche, Peugeot, Cadillac and Glickenhaus. “We’re going to be working hard because we know how competitive the other manufacturers are. We have to remember, though, that it’s not easy to win on your first outing. We’ll be focusing on our weak points and aim to further improve the car,” he finished.

According with fiaformulae, after the celebrations have finished, Buemi will start preparing for his ninth season in Formula E, moving to Envision Racing after a long career spent with e.dams in both its Renault and Nissan guises. With a Formula E Driver’s championship title already to his name, the Swiss driver will be looking to claim his second title in the series when racing commences in Mexico City in 2023.

Bringing all this experience is important to developing a unique motorsports world to our ecosystem. Buemi’s perspective will expand the full potential of Web 3 and the metaverse in the world of racing.

Together with Buemi, USM.World will build immersive interactions with the driver’s fans, as well as unique experiences that will be enabled throughout the motorsport star’s journey in the metaverse.

“I’m very excited to be partnering with USM.World, I will have my digital avatar, to host events and interact with the community and fans, within the USM Metaverse, throughout my tournaments,” said Sébastien Buemi.
